MIKE’s annual Young World festival returns to Brooklyn’s Herbert Von King Park on July 11, headlined by Max B and MIKE. The free, all-ages event runs from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Eastern as part of New York’s SummerStage series. More performers will be announced soon.
MIKE’s Young World festival is set for its return this summer at Herbert Von King Park in Brooklyn. The event, which MIKE launched in 2019, paused during the pandemic and saw last year’s edition, Young World V, canceled without explanation. This year’s show on July 11 promises a strong lineup starting with headliners Max B and MIKE himself, alongside additional acts to be revealed in coming weeks. It forms part of the SummerStage series and welcomes all ages at no cost from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern time. The festival marks the stage debut of MIKE’s Band of the Century, the live band he assembled last year for his Tiny Desk Concert. Max B brings recent momentum to the bill. After serving 16 years in prison, he was released last November and has stayed active on the live circuit. The following month, he dropped the mixtape Public Domain 7: The Purge, featuring verses from A$AP Rocky and Kehlani, among others.
