Supreme Court minister André Mendonça held sharp discussions with the defense of former banker Daniel Vorcaro after the delivery of plea deal annexes to the Federal Police and the Attorney General's Office.
The annexes were presented on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Mendonça, the rapporteur in the case investigating Vorcaro for financial crimes, believes the information provided is far from what has already been gathered by the Federal Police.
Vorcaro was arrested in November 2025 while trying to leave the country and rearrested in March 2026. His defense seeks a plea deal that includes sentence reduction and restitution of funds.
There is no clear mention of Vorcaro's relationship with Senate president Davi Alcolumbre amid R$400 million in investments by Amprev in Banco Master securities.
