Mercedes-Benz unveiled the refreshed GLE 2026 at its Alabama plant, adding the new MB.OS operating system with artificial intelligence from Google, Microsoft and ChatGPT.
Mercedes-Benz presented the refreshed GLE 2026 and its GLS, Coupé and AMG variants at the MBUSI plant in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The model integrates more than 3,000 new components and marks the debut of the MB.OS system, which connects artificial intelligence to enhance the MBUX virtual assistant.
The MBUX Superscreen comes standard with three 12.3-inch displays and allows video for the passenger. The micro-LED headlights expand illumination by 40 percent. The V8 engine in the GLE 580 4MATIC reaches 530 hp.
The air suspension uses cloud data to anticipate road irregularities. CEO Ola Källenius confirmed that the future GLC will also be assembled at the same plant, which will receive 4,000 million dollars in investments through 2030.
