Musclecontest Brazil began on Friday with a new policy to prioritize athletes' health.
This year's Musclecontest Brazil edition began on Friday (17) with registration and weighing of bodybuilders. The organizing company announced that any competitor showing discomfort backstage will be barred from participating.
Tamer El Guindy, CEO of Musclecontest, stated that health comes first. "Health and body care are the most important things", he said. He added that athletes should compete only in their best condition and protect themselves at any sign of stress.
El Guindy noted that bodybuilding is a healthy sport but warned against excesses. The institution does not encourage the use of anabolic steroids, whose use for aesthetic purposes is prohibited in Brazil.
