The National Treasury and the Ministry of Agriculture have announced separate public auctions of government assets scheduled for June 30, 2026.
The National Treasury will hold its auction at 11am at the Ministry of Public Works Yard along Machakos Road in Nairobi. Items include boarded vehicles, office equipment and furniture. The full list is available on planning.go.ke, and bidders must pay a 10 per cent refundable deposit.
The Ministry of Agriculture auction starts at 10am at the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organisation Kabete Headquarters along Waiyaki Way. It covers used vehicles, livestock and obsolete items. Inspection is open from June 16 to June 27, with deposits set at KSh30,000 for vehicles and KSh1,000 for livestock.
Successful bidders must pay in full within 24 hours and collect items within seven days. Both auctions follow public asset management regulations for disposing of excess and obsolete items.
