The NFL has set the San Francisco 49ers against the Minnesota Vikings for a Sunday Night Football game on November 22 at Estadio Banorte in Mexico City, marking the league's return to the country.
Arturo Olivé, director of NFL México, confirmed the matchup and expressed enthusiasm: “We are very happy with the news, grateful to the 49ers who accepted the invitation a few weeks ago and now that the Minnesota Vikings are confirmed as the rivals. It is a very good game.”
The game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. local time. The 49ers previously played two regular-season contests in Mexico, including the league’s first international game in 2005. Hospitality packages from On Location start at $1,095 for game-day access, with three-night packages up to $3,345. Fans can register on the official NFL site for presale access.
This matchup is part of a multi-year agreement that will bring NFL games back to Estadio Banorte in 2026, 2027, and 2028.
