Norton has released additional technical details for its upcoming Atlas adventure bike. The model features a new 585 cc engine and advanced electronics package.
The Atlas uses a 585 cc inline twin engine producing 69 horsepower at 9300 rpm and 42 pound-feet of torque at 7500 rpm. It includes a six-speed gearbox with a two-way quickshifter and ride-by-wire throttle.
Chassis specifications cover a tubular steel frame with fully adjustable Kayaba suspension and ByBre brakes. Riders can select between cast or spoked wheels, with the standard Atlas model using a 19-17 spoked setup.
Additional features include a six-axis IMU for cornering ABS and traction control, plus multiple ride modes. The bike has a seat height of 33.3 inches and a claimed wet weight of 440 pounds.
Norton plans to offer the Atlas in the United States with expected pricing near 11000 dollars. An Apex variant adds options such as heated grips and luggage accessories.
