Forward Oliver Tärnström has signed a one-year contract with Mora IK for the 2026/27 season. The 23-year-old center left AIK, where he struggled for playing time, to join the HockeyAllsvenskan rival. Mora's head coach Oscar Dahlgren praised Tärnström's versatility.
Oliver Tärnström, a 23-year-old center, has agreed to terms with Mora IK after departing AIK. The deal covers the upcoming 2026/27 season in HockeyAllsvenskan. Tärnström adds to Mora's roster build-up ahead of next season, as announced on May 1, 2026, by HockeyNews.se in collaboration with the club. Mora head coach Oscar Dahlgren welcomed the signing, describing Tärnström as a versatile player. “We are glad that Oliver has chosen to take his next step in his career with us. He is a versatile player who can be used both as center and wing forward. Oliver is a smart player with high work capacity and a strong will to contribute across the entire ice,” Dahlgren said. Tärnström's recent career includes stints with Rögle, Brynäs, and AIK in HockeyAllsvenskan. He contributed to Brynäs' promotion to SHL but saw his production drop in AIK from 24 points in the previous regular season to 10 points this year. He was also left out of the lineup for several playoff games. In AIK, Tärnström joins other departures like Jack York and John Dahlström as the club reshapes its lineup.
