Park Ji Hwan uncovers Kwon Sang Woo's secret in rom-com Heartman

Upcoming Korean comedy film Heartman features Park Ji Hwan as a loyal friend who discovers lead actor Kwon Sang Woo's hidden secret. The story revolves around a man's reunion with his first love, complicated by unspoken truths. New stills highlight Park's versatile portrayal of the character.

The film Heartman, directed by Choi Won Seop, centers on Seung Min, played by Kwon Sang Woo, who returns after years away and encounters his first love, portrayed by Moon Chae Won. Eager to rekindle their romance and avoid past mistakes, Seung Min pursues her relentlessly. However, his efforts are hindered by a profound secret he must keep hidden from her.

Park Ji Hwan takes on the role of Won Dae, Seung Min's longtime friend and former college bandmate. Drawing from their real-life camaraderie, Won Dae is the first to detect Seung Min's secret and stands by him steadfastly. Released stills depict Won Dae in dual facets: as an energetic rocker performing on stage and as a compassionate confidant dispensing advice on the delicate matter.

Choi Won Seop commended Park Ji Hwan's acting, noting his chemistry with Kwon Sang Woo. "He’s an actor with such incredible instincts for comedy," the director stated. This blend of humor and heartfelt moments underscores the film's rom-com essence.

Heartman is slated for theatrical release on January 14, 2026. In the interim, audiences can catch Park Ji Hwan in his earlier work, the film Handsome Guys, available on Viki.
