A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the killing of a 45-year-old mother of four in a Philadelphia alleyway. Authorities say the suspect beat the victim with a brick and stomped on her before taking her purse.
Philadelphia police announced on Wednesday that they were seeking a suspect in the homicide of Keisha Farlow. The department later identified the man as Dawaun Lewis, who faces charges including murder, robbery inflicting serious bodily injury, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and possessing an instrument of crime with intent.
The attack occurred early Sunday in the 2600 block of North 24th Street. Surveillance footage shows the suspect throwing Farlow to the ground, striking her with a brick, and stomping on her face and chest. Two bloody bricks were found at the scene, and her emptied purse was recovered nearby.
Farlow was pronounced dead from blunt force trauma. Lewis is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday, with a preliminary hearing set for June 29.
