The Pokemon Company has announced new Ranked Battle rewards for Pokemon Legends: Z-A, including Mega Stones for the Hoenn starters Sceptile, Swampert, and Blaziken in upcoming seasons. These elusive items are exclusive to high ranks in the online multiplayer mode. Ahead of the Mega Dimension DLC launch on December 10, 2025, players can also claim a free alpha Charizard via Mystery Gift.
Upcoming Ranked Battle Rewards
Pokemon Legends: Z-A's online multiplayer mode will introduce Mega Stones for the Hoenn starter Pokemon as rewards in future seasons. Sceptilite will be available in Season 5, Swampertite in Season 6, and Blazikenite in Season 7. To earn these, players must reach a specific rank, such as the S rank used for previous rewards like Chesnaughtite, Delphoxite, and Greninjite.
Season 3 is currently active until December 17, 2025, offering Chesnaughtite along with catch-up opportunities for Delphoxite and Greninjite. Season 4 will distribute a new Mega Stone for Baxcalibur, a Pokemon gaining a brand-new Mega Evolution in the upcoming DLC.
These special Mega Stones cannot be obtained through other means in the game, emphasizing the importance of participating in Ranked Battles.
Free Gifts and DLC Details
In preparation for the Mega Dimension DLC launching on December 10, 2025, The Pokemon Company is providing free items. Players can claim a level 36 alpha Charizard, which is larger than usual and learns Solar Beam—a move typically acquired via TM—by entering the code B1G006 in the Mystery Gift menu. This gift is available until January 19, 2026.
Additionally, free Mega Stones for Diancie and Mewtwo are being distributed. After claiming them and completing the main story, players unlock special side quests to catch these legendary Pokemon.
The DLC introduces new story content centered on the mythical Pokemon Hoopa, who creates portals to Hyperspace Lumiose—an alternate dimension filled with overleveled wild Pokemon above level 100, many not in the base game. It also features new Mega Evolutions, including Mega Zeraora and Mega Lucario Z.
