Cristiano Ronaldo played 65 minutes as Portugal defeated Nigeria 2-1 in a friendly match in Leiria on Wednesday.
Portugal took the lead through Chelsea winger Pedro Neto before Akor Adams equalised for Nigeria. Francisco Conceição scored the winner in the second half after Joao Felix hit the crossbar. Ronaldo, set to appear at his sixth World Cup this summer, had several chances but did not score and remains on 143 international goals. The 41-year-old is expected to make his final World Cup appearance in the tournament that begins next week. Portugal face DR Congo, Uzbekistan and Colombia in Group K. Nigeria failed to qualify for the finals after losing to DR Congo in the African play-offs.
