Production and Premiere Details

Filming for the series, developed by Amazon MGM Studios and Temple Hill, has officially completed in British Columbia, Canada, including locations like Riverview Hospital. Showrunner Louisa Levy, known for 'Death and Other Details' and 'In the Dark,' oversees the project. In a Deadline interview, Amazon MGM Studios head Vernon Sanders confirmed a 2026 launch, stating, "We’ve been obsessively watching dailies, and we’re really excited by what we’re seeing. We should be getting our first cuts in the not-too-distant future." He added that it "won’t be this year, but it will definitely be next year."

Elle Kennedy expressed her excitement in an October 2024 Instagram post: "I have been sitting on this news for what feels like forever, and it’s been SO HARD to not spill the beans! But I’m beyond thrilled to finally announce that @amazonmgmstudios and Temple Hill are developing the OffCampus series for television." The first season adapts 'The Deal,' depicting the elite Briar University ice hockey team and their relationships amid love, heartbreak, and self-discovery.

Prime Video has teased the production with sneak peeks, including a hair and makeup test of Bright and Cameli on August 7, 2025, and glimpses of the hockey players in gear. Future seasons may cover subsequent books like 'The Mistake' and spinoffs.
