The PSDB of Minas Gerais holds its electoral convention on Tuesday without a decision on Aécio Neves' Senate candidacy.
The convention takes place without the party defining whether federal deputy Aécio Neves will run for one of the two Senate seats.
Aécio, who is national PSDB president and former senator, plans to decide by August 5. He told allies he will only run if part of a strong coalition able to compete with candidates backed by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro.
Aécio leads some state polls and is considering tickets with Marcelo Aro, Alexandre Kalil or Gabriel Azevedo. Earlier this month he dropped a presidential bid.
