Rachel Proudley shared victory in the Equiyd puissance at Bolesworth International on 27 June. The 20-year-old rider cleared the wall at 2.10m with her new mount to split the top prize with three other competitors.
Rachel Proudley claimed her sixth consecutive major puissance title when she tied with Morgan Shirley, Paul Sims and David Simpson. She rode the 11-year-old French Connection, owned by Niall Mullins, in the horse's first puissance outing.
The four riders all cleared 1.95m in the fourth round before lowering bricks at the 2.10m height in the final round. They divided the £6,700 winners' pot.
Proudley, who turns 21 in July, said she began riding the horse two or three months ago and decided to enter the class only on the day of the competition. The wall started at 1.35m to encourage more entries.
Morgan Shirley competed on the nine-year-old mare Klaris Ride On, while Paul Sims rode Marshmallow and David Simpson rode Kolman VDP.
