The CBF confirmed on Saturday a muscle injury in Raphinha's right thigh. The Barcelona forward remains in the World Cup squad and will start intensive treatment.
Raphinha felt pain in the posterior region of his right thigh during Brazil's 3-0 win over Haiti on Friday in Philadelphia. He was substituted at the 40-minute mark of the first half by Rayan.
Imaging exams performed on Saturday confirmed the injury. The CBF stated the player will follow an intensive treatment protocol with the national team medical staff aiming for a quick return.
The forward will not be cut from the squad. Brazil's next match is against Scotland on Wednesday in Miami Gardens. Carlo Ancelotti said Rayan showed good quality in training and has a different profile from Raphinha.
