Robin Kovacs joins Björklöven in SHL

Robin Kovacs has agreed to play for Björklöven next season. The 29-year-old forward will move to Umeå after negotiations with AIK broke down. He previously played for Linköping HC in the SHL.

According to reports, Kovacs chose Björklöven over a return to AIK. The club is one of the newcomers to the SHL this season.

Kovacs recorded 47 points in 50 games for Linköping HC last season. He left the team despite having one year remaining on his contract.

Talks with AIK had been the main plan but dragged on and ultimately failed. Björklöven reached an agreement with the player in recent days.

Expressen first reported that Kovacs is now set to join the Umeå club.
