The geopolitical thriller Embassy has secured a U.S. streaming home on MGM+.
The six-episode series will air on the MGM+ linear channel and streaming platform. MGM+ announced the deal on Tuesday but did not set a premiere date.
Anna Kendrick stars as Layla, an American diplomat facing armed mercenaries at the U.S. Embassy in London. She must choose between protecting the ambassador or following orders to extract a high-value asset.
Sam Heughan plays Layla's ex-fiancé, Connor Wright, a battle-hardened British SAS soldier. J.K. Simmons co-stars as the American ambassador. The series was filmed in Cologne, Germany, and London.
Michael Wright, global head of MGM+, called Embassy a high-octane thriller with an exceptional cast. Heughan is known for his role in Outlander, which ended its run in May.
