Former PSOE Organization Secretary Santos Cerdán publishes a book in which he describes himself as architect of political agreements and victim of persecution after his indictment in the Koldo Case.
In his book La Caída: poder, relato y destrucción en la era del juicio político, Cerdán maintains that his role as key PSOE negotiator created discomfort. He states he helped elevate Pedro Sánchez and seal deals with PNV, EH Bildu and Junts.
The book details his resignation after the UCO report on June 12, 2025. Cerdán claims he decided to resign and hand in his deputy seat on his own initiative, without Pedro Sánchez asking him to.
Cerdán recounts his time in Soto del Real prison, where he spent nearly five months. He criticizes leaks of judicial documents and describes the isolation after losing party support.
