The VII International Seminar on Church Communications will take place on July 27 and 28 at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
The gathering will bring together bishops, academics, communicators and Vatican representatives to examine the impact of artificial intelligence on the Church's evangelizing mission.
Among the guests are Father Antonio Spadaro SJ, undersecretary of the Dicastery for Culture and Education of the Holy See, Matthew Harvey Sanders, founder of Magisterium AI, and journalist Inés San Martín.
The vice rector of Communications at UC, Eduardo Arriagada, stated that communicators must discern how to put artificial intelligence at the service of communication that protects the dignity of each person.
The seminar will also feature debates on papal visits and the resurgence of the spiritual dimension in society, plus a Film and Spirituality Week with the preview of the film Sagrado Corazón.
