At the Deutscher Filmpreis ceremony in Berlin on Friday evening, Senta Berger won best actress for her role in «Ach, diese Lücke, diese entsetzliche Lücke». The 85-year-old accepted the prize and said: «I am only happy tomorrow. Today it is simply too much.»
The drama «In die Sonne schauen» by Mascha Schilinski received ten awards, including the Goldene Lola for best feature film. August Diehl was honored as best actor for «Das Verschwinden des Josef Mengele».
Wim Wenders accepted the honorary prize. The gala was interrupted for about 40 minutes due to technical problems. Around 1900 guests were present.
