Steve Kerr has signed a two-year contract extension to continue as head coach of the Golden State Warriors. The deal comes after he had been 95 percent certain he would retire following the team's Play-In loss.
Kerr, who led the Warriors to four NBA titles, discussed his decision during a press conference after agreeing to the extension this week. He will remain the league's highest-paid coach after earning 17.5 million dollars last season. His wife played a key role by noting he might coach elsewhere someday but would never again lead the Warriors, a thought that proved decisive for him.
