Peacock has set a September 9 premiere date for the second season of The Paper, its spin-off of The Office. All episodes will drop at once, matching the approach used for Season 1.
The series follows a documentary crew chronicling operations at a struggling Midwestern newspaper, the Toledo Truth Teller. Domhnall Gleeson stars as editor-in-chief Ned Sampson, joined by Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frei, Melvin Gregg, Alex Edelman and Oscar Nuñez reprising his role on The Office.
In the new season Ned pursues a journalistic crusade targeting a local private club. The official logline adds that Ned and Mare work through their attraction while Esmeralda struggles to find her place and the staff matures as reporters.
The show is created by Greg Daniels and Michael Koman. Season 2 photos have also been released ahead of the September rollout.
