Tierra Whack returned with the single Totem on Tuesday ahead of her mixtape Whack's Museum. The project arrives June 19 on Juneteenth and features the previously released track Wax Paper.
The Philadelphia rapper shared a message for critics on social media and provided a phone number for formal apologies. In Totem she raps lines such as But I was born a stepper so I'll take the stairs while delivering sharp wordplay over a sparse beat.
Wax Paper offers a hypnotic sound with Nineties rap influences and a black-and-white video filmed in her hometown. The 12-track mixtape includes titles like Whack Job Brazilian Wax and Earwax that reflect her creative branding.
Whack's Museum marks her first major project since the 2024 album World Wide Whack. She has also appeared with Oprah Winfrey and made her voice-acting debut in the upcoming Invincible VS game.
