TNA Wrestling broadcast the latest episode of TNA iMPACT! on July 2 from the Broadview Center in Albany, New York. The show aired on AMC and included appearances by new champions and the start of a title tournament.
The episode opened with a recap of events from TNA Slammiversary. Nic Nemeth, the new TNA World Champion, appeared in a segment with his brother Ryan Nemeth. Ryan presented a list of wrestlers defeated by Nic and introduced him to the crowd.
KC Navarro interrupted the segment, leading to an argument with Ryan. Nic intervened and arranged a match between Navarro and Ryan for later in the show.
The TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament began with first-round matches involving Heather By Elegance against Allie and Mara Sadè against Tasha Steelz. Other scheduled segments included a Six Man Scramble for an X-Division Championship contender and appearances by Xia Brookside and Ricky Sosa.
