Universidad de Chile defeated Unión San Felipe 2-0 at the Estadio Nacional and moved to the top of Copa Chile Group D with seven points.
The match took place on Sunday, June 28 at 5:30 p.m. Juan Martín Lucero opened the scoring in the 41st minute with a shot from the edge of the box. Agustín Arce doubled the lead at the 47th minute after a back-heel from Lucero.
Universidad de Chile controlled the game from the start and created several chances. Interim coach Fabricio Coloccini fielded several youth players in midfield and welcomed back Javier Altamirano.
The win moved La U to first place in Group D with seven points, pushing San Felipe into second. The result also marked Lucero’s return to scoring.
