The Boyacá municipality hosts the 16th edition of the International Jazz Festival from June 24 to 29 under the slogan “Volver al origen”. The event features concerts and academic activities with national and international artists.
Villa de Leyva is preparing to host the festival that combines musical performances and training spaces across several venues in the municipality. The official opening is scheduled for Friday, June 26 at the Claustro San Francisco with Electrik Combo and Chilean guitarist Felipe Duhart.
On Saturday the 27th the groups Big Band Efat de Tocancipá, Time Machine Big Band and Daliah Quintet will perform in the Plaza Principal. The day will include a break for the match between Colombia and Portugal.
On Sunday the 28th La Pintana Big Band, Big Band Teatro Colsubsidio Emmat, the Melei ensemble, Irene Albarrán, Byron Sánchez Cuarteto and Frailejón will take the stage. An academic program with workshops and the new Ruta de los Sentidos in local hotels and restaurants will also be offered.
