Wandayi criticizes Kalonzo and Wamalwa over NADCO report

Energy Minister Opiyo Wandayi has urged opposition leaders to be honest when presenting their policies. He took issue with claims by Kalonzo Musyoka and Eugene Wamalwa that the NADCO report has not been fully implemented. Those statements were made during the funeral of Beryl Odinga in Bondo.

Energy Minister Opiyo Wandayi has called on opposition leaders to demonstrate honesty when outlining their policies. In expressing his disapproval, Wandayi directed his criticism at Opposition Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and DAP-Kenya leader Eugene Wamalwa. The two claimed that the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report remains incompletely implemented.

These claims were voiced during the funeral of Beryl Odinga, sister of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, in the Bondo area. Wandayi stated that it is through this report that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) now exists in the country. Furthermore, he accused Wamalwa of discussing the report while having refused to sign it.

This situation highlights growing tensions between the government and opposition regarding the implementation of NADCO agreements, which were aimed at addressing key political issues in Kenya. Wandayi emphasized the importance of honesty to foster productive dialogue.
