Warriors add two games to December schedule after NBA Cup results

The Golden State Warriors will play two additional regular-season games in December following their elimination from the inaugural Emirates NBA Cup. They lost 104-100 to the Houston Rockets in the Cup finale. The added matchups include a home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves and a road game versus the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Golden State Warriors' 2025-26 NBA schedule has been updated with two new regular-season games due to the outcomes of the Emirates NBA Cup. This adjustment comes after the Warriors were knocked out of the tournament, alongside the Houston Rockets, following a 104-100 defeat in the Cup finale at Chase Center on Wednesday.

Earlier that day, the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the New Orleans Pelicans, which eliminated both the Warriors and Rockets from contention before their matchup concluded. The Warriors, currently standing at 10-10 on the season, have struggled recently, dropping four of their last five games.

The first added game sees the Warriors hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7 p.m. PT on Friday, December 12, at Chase Center. Two days later, on Sunday, December 14, they travel to Portland to face the Trail Blazers at 6 p.m. PT at Moda Center.

Looking ahead, the Warriors aim to rebound when they host the Pelicans, who are 3-16, on Saturday at Chase Center. These additions provide more opportunities for the team to build momentum in the Western Conference.
