Several WWE ID-contracted wrestlers have been removed from independent events scheduled for June 20, with promotions citing contractual obligations.
WWE EVOLVE Men's Champion Aaron Rourke was withdrawn from a Limitless Wrestling event set for June 20. The promotion announced the change on social media and noted the show would appear on the MyAEW streaming service.
Fightful Select reported that the removal was unrelated to the AEW affiliation. Similar withdrawals affected Starboy Charlie from a West Coast Pro show and wrestlers Veronica Haven, Sloane Jacobs, Anya Rune, and Laynie Luck from a Dreamwave Wrestling card on the same date.
Promoters were informed by AEW that no restrictions apply to talent from other promotions. Reports indicated the June 20 date may coincide with a WWE EVOLVE taping, and WWE ID talent appear to face fewer limitations than other contracted performers.
