Yangyang of NCT and WayV posted an Instagram story interpreted by some as shade toward groupmate Ten after a tour announcement excluded him. The post came amid online reactions to WayV's four-member lineup for the upcoming shows.
On July 24, SM Entertainment announced WayV's new tour titled Born This Way, set to open in Seoul in September with additional dates in Japan in January. The notice specified four members—Kun, Hendery, Xiaojun, and Yangyang—following Ten's earlier departure from the company. A new album featuring all five members was also confirmed.
The following day Yangyang shared an Instagram story stating, "Everything happens for a fucking reasons. It is up to how everyone interprets. Just know that we’re gonna deliver no matter what. Enjoy and live as we go. That’s the priority." Some fans viewed the message as directed at Ten over his non-participation while others saw it aimed at critics of the lineup.
Reactions online included calls to support the members and stop blaming them, alongside frustration with SM Entertainment. The tour remains scheduled with the current four-member configuration.
