Zulfa Mustofa appointed acting chairman of PBNU

The Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) has appointed KH Zulfa Mustofa as Acting General Chairman, replacing Yahya Cholil Staquf, during a plenary meeting in Jakarta. The appointment was made through consultation among Islamic scholars and will last until the 2026 Congress. Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar affirmed that the government is not interfering in the organization's internal matters.

This support was conveyed via an official letter, while the PBNU General Secretary states the meeting is organizationally invalid.
