For the third consecutive year, Jason Golubski skipped his team to victory at the Utica Curling Club’s Cobb Mixed Bonspiel in Whitesboro. The team, known as Utica 4 during the event, defeated Don Knapp's rink 9-5 in the A Event final. Golubski's squad pulled ahead in the second half, securing the win when Knapp conceded late in the eighth end.

Matt Hames and his team defended their title in the Championship Division of the Empire State Winter Games Curling Bonspiel this past weekend at the Utica Curling Club in Whitestown. They once again defeated the team skipped by Howard Feldman to secure the gold medal. Local competitors swept all winners and runners-up positions across the divisions.
