Ruto announces Ksh6,000 stipend for youths in training programme

President William Ruto has revealed plans to provide a Ksh6,000 monthly stipend to 90,000 youths in an on-the-job training programme during the NYOTA event in Eldoret. He also highlighted the disbursement of Ksh250 million to 9,500 youths and clarified proper use of funds. The event took place on January 8, 2026.
A Bank of Korea report shows the share of young South Koreans aged 20-34 neither working nor job-seeking rose to 22.3% in 2025 from 14.6% in 2019. The trend, linked to AI-driven labor market changes and slowing economic growth, signals structural strains and potential long-term labor shortages. Officials call for reforms to encourage youth re-entry into the workforce.

የኢትዮጵያ ግብር ለውጥ መሥዋዕትኤ ኢንስቲቱት (ኤቲአይ) በመጨረሻው ደረጃ የንግድ ግብርና፣ ወንድ ሥራ እና ዲጂታል ለውጥ ላይ ያተኮረ ነው ብሏል። በዚህ ሳምንት ባለደረጃዎችን በማስተዋወቅ ኤቲአይ የንግድ ግብርና ቁርጠብሙ (ACC) ፕሮግራም አሁን 311 ወረዳዎችን እና 11 ቅድሚያ ምርቶችን ይሸፍን ነው፣ 4.4 ሚሊዮን ገበሮችን ይደርሳል። ይህ ፕሮግራም በዳኒዳ፣ ዩኤ፣ ኤኤፍዲ እና ሌሎች አጋሮች ይደገፋል።
