The 2027 Dakar Rally will run for 14 days from January 1 to 15 entirely within Saudi Arabia. Organizers have unveiled a route that emphasizes sandy terrain over rocks and starts and ends at King Abdullah Economic City.
The event marks the longest rally held in Saudi Arabia since the competition moved there in 2020. Total course length stands at 5,320 kilometers, exceeding the previous record of 4,903 kilometers set in 2025. Two marathon stages are planned, including one near the end of the rally, to test physical and mechanical endurance.
