Record number of runners take part in Lundaloppet

Sunny conditions and music set the mood as 8935 runners took part in this year's Lundaloppet.

The race began on Svanevägen where Timbuktu's song Det löser sig was played. Participants ran through Stadsparken and the city center on distances ranging from 2.5 to 15 kilometers.

The longest route of 15 kilometers was introduced last year and quickly became popular. Edwin Tadj Ahmdi ran the race together with his brother for the first time.

It is a fun thing to do together, Edwin Tadj Ahmdi said. His 14-year-old brother Kevin Tadj Ahmdi added that it was exciting to try something new.
