Ethiopian runners claimed victory in both the men's and women's divisions at the Rabat Marathon held in Morocco.
In the men's race, Boki Diriba crossed the finish line first in two hours, seven minutes and 52 seconds. Tolecha Tefera took second place while Chalu Deso finished third.
Alemtsahay Assefa led the women's field, completing the course in two hours, 25 minutes and three seconds. Mesebet Abebayehu and Siranesh Yirga followed in second and third positions.
Additional Ethiopian runners placed in the top six, with Gete Jukale fifth and Kuli Chimdesa sixth. The results highlight the continued strength of Ethiopian distance runners on the international stage.
