AIK announced two signings on Friday for the 2026/27 season. The club added 20-year-old defenseman Patrik Jernfalk on a development contract and forward Viktor Lennartsson on a one-year deal.
Patrik Jernfalk, who joined AIK ahead of last season, recorded 29 points in 34 J20 Nationell games. He appeared in five HockeyAllsvenskan regular-season matches and two playoff games.
Viktor Lennartsson, 32, brings experience from 232 HockeyAllsvenskan games and 218 in Hockeyettan. He played for BIK Karlskoga and Mora last season.
Head coach Viktor Tuurala said the back line remains open. "Eventuellt, men eventuellt inte," he noted, adding the team has at least one spot available and possibly two on the forward side.
Sportchef Lasse Johansson highlighted Lennartsson’s character and energy. Lennartsson said he looks forward to playing at Hovet without being booed as before.
