Authorities capture alleged CJNG operator in Nayarit

A federal operation detained José Guadalupe 'N', alias 'M4', identified as a coordinator for the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación in Nayarit and Tlaxcala.

Mexico's Security Cabinet reported that personnel from the Navy, the Attorney General's Office and the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection executed seven search warrants on Saturday morning.

The operation, which included flights by UH-60M Black Hawk and Mil Mi-17 helicopters plus a Beechcraft T-6C+ Texan II aircraft over Tepic and Xalisco, led to 10 arrests and the seizure of three long guns, three vehicles and assets valued above four million pesos.

The detainees face charges including homicide, kidnapping, extortion and drug trafficking. Officials stated the actions aim to weaken criminal groups' operational and financial capacities.
