Barry Manilow has announced his 33rd studio album, What a Time, set for release on June 5. The project marks his first almost all-original LP since 2011's 15 Minutes and includes the new single Sun Shine. It follows recent tour postponements due to health recovery.
Barry Manilow will release What a Time on June 5, his first new album in nearly 15 years. Produced by Manilow and longtime collaborator Michael Lloyd, the 13-track album is his 33rd studio release and the first almost all-original LP since 2011’s 15 Minutes. It features collaborations with Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Dave Cobb, and co-writers Bruce Sussman and Adrienne Anderson. The lead single, “Sun Shine,” was written by Manilow and Gary Barlow and produced by Manilow, David Benson, and Greg Bartheld. The album opens with “Once Before I Go,” a love song executive-produced by Clive Davis and co-written by Dean Pitchford and Peter Allen. Other highlights include a duet with Sharon “Muffy” Hendrix on “When Somebody Says Goodbye” and Dave Koz on “Look at Me Now.” The full tracklist is: 1. Once Before I Go, 2. What a Time, 3. He postponed his arena tour after surgery to remove a “cancerous spot” on his lung, originally set to begin in January 2026. Dates were further rescheduled in February for additional recovery time. The tour now starts on April 13 at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York. What a Time is available for pre-order and pre-save.
