Batam Deputy Mayor Li Claudia Chandra has received the KWP Awards 2026 in the category of female leader promoting innovation and collaboration in border areas. She was represented by BP Batam Deputy for Public Services Ariastuty Sirait. The award recognizes her commitment to strengthening development synergies in strategic border regions.
Li Claudia Chandra expressed appreciation to the Koordinatoriat Wartawan Parlemen (KWP) for recognizing the contributions of female regional leaders. "This award is not just for me personally, but also for all parties who have worked together to build Batam through innovation and collaboration," she stated in an official remark on April 16, 2026.
She noted that the KWP Awards 2026 theme, "Mengawal Perjuangan, Mengapresiasi Dedikasi: Bersama Mewujudkan Indonesia Emas," reflects a collective spirit for national progress, including in border areas. She hopes the recognition will motivate cross-sector collaboration for inclusive and sustainable development.
"May this award serve as a motivator for us all to continue working and giving our best for society," she added. The biennial event received over 60 nominations and honors legislators and parliamentary partners.
