In Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, PSI General Chairman Kaesang Pangarep attended the Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorwil) and the installation of the NTB PSI Provincial Board on Saturday, May 2, 2026. He stressed the importance of young cadres learning from seniors who have served 3 or 4 terms in the DPRD.
"We have many seniors here who have joined PSI, many who have served 3 or 4 terms in the DPRD. Friends must absorb knowledge from them," Kaesang said. "If you intend to become council members, learn from these experienced ones."
NTB PSI Provincial Chairman Lalu Budi Suryata confirmed that the organizational structure is 100 percent complete at provincial, district, and branch levels per party rules. The Rakorwil discussed future policy directions and planned district-level meetings in 10 regencies/cities across NTB, targeting legislative representation.
Earlier, Kaesang met interfaith leaders at the home of Guru Mangku Gede Wenten. The Hindu figure urged politics not to divide society and warmly welcomed Kaesang. Kaesang received Lombok pearls as a gift and praised participants' enthusiasm despite the hot weather. Attendees included NTB Governor Lalu Muhammad Iqbal, PSI Deputy Chairman Isyana Bagoes Oka, and Lalu Budi Suryata.
