Class 12 CBSE students are encountering significant difficulties with the re-evaluation process, including high fees and technical glitches after the portal opened on May 19.
The Central Board of Secondary Education introduced the On-Screen Marking system for Class 12 exams this year, with scanned answer sheets evaluated online. Students have reported delays in receiving scanned copies and payment acknowledgements, alongside non-functional download buttons on the website.
Parents and students described the experience as stressful. R. Belinda, mother of a Class 12 student, said the process has deeply impacted students and families. A student named Radha noted that delays could affect college admissions in Tamil Nadu.
The board initially charged ₹700 per subject for scanned copies before reducing it to ₹100. P. Vishnucharan of Shree Niketan schools suggested the system should have been piloted on one subject and that the application deadline should have been extended by a full week rather than daily.
