These billboards have intensified rumors that the singer is preparing a series of comeback concerts at the city’s Paris La Défense Arena, a venue with 40,000 capacity. According to a report this weekend by La Presse, the residency would feature two performances per week in September and October. Representatives for Dion did not respond to requests for comment from Rolling Stone. Dion's last full headlining tour, Courage, took place in 2020 but was shortened by the pandemic. Since then, she has faced challenges from stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder with no cure. In 2022, Dion described its impact: “Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to.” She has continued therapy to manage the condition. In 2024, she stated: “Five days a week, I undergo athletic, physical, and vocal therapy. I work on my toes, my knees, my calves, my fingers, my singing, my voice … I have to learn to live with it now and stop questioning myself.” Dion made rare stage appearances in 2024, including “Hymne à L’amour” at the Paris Olympic Games Opening Ceremony and “The Power of Love” and “I’m Alive” at the 1001 Seasons of Elie Saab fashion show in Saudi Arabia.
