Councilwoman Andreza Guerreiro in Novo Hamburgo received a box containing the body of a dead dog on Monday.
Andreza Guerreiro (PP) reported the incident in a video on social media. She believed the box was a gift for her work on animal causes, due to the message “Carinho para proteger os animais. Obrigado”.
Upon opening the package, she found the animal's body with wounds on its paws. The councilwoman stated that the act aimed to intimidate her.
The box was delivered to the Municipal Chamber by an app driver. Security cameras recorded the delivery. The Civil Police of Rio Grande do Sul is investigating the case after the police report was filed.
