The Createx 2026 fair opened on May 12 in Pavilion 5 at Corferias and brings together nearly 200 exhibitors from the textile and apparel sector until today. Over two days participants display advances in machinery, inputs, technology and smart manufacturing processes.
The thematic focus centers on innovation and environmental awareness, with special attention to the circular economy, upcycling and textile reuse. The opening featured Andrés López, executive president of Corferias; Guillermo Elías Criado, president of the Colombian Chamber of Apparel and Related Industries; Ovidio Claros, president of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce; and Trade, Industry and Tourism Minister Diana Marcela Morales.
“Createx has become a space where industry, innovation and knowledge converge”, said Guillermo Elías Criado. “This event helps strengthen the sector’s capabilities and connect the actors who are transforming the fashion system in the country”.
