Delhi Capitals defeated Punjab Kings by three wickets on Monday to end a two-match losing streak and keep their IPL 2026 playoff hopes alive.
Delhi Capitals chased down a target of 211 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. Skipper Axar Patel and David Miller scored crucial half-centuries to guide the team to victory with an over to spare. The win came after DC lost their top three wickets inside the first five overs.
Punjab Kings suffered their fourth consecutive defeat in the match. Poor fielding and bowling execution proved costly for the hosts, who had started strongly with the bat. Priyansh Arya and Shreyas Iyer made notable contributions before DC's pacers restricted them to 210 for five.
The result leaves Delhi Capitals in contention while Punjab Kings slipped to fourth place in the points table. Axar Patel and Miller's partnership of 64 runs proved decisive in the chase.
