The World Discovery playground at EPCOT reopened recently after a refurbishment that started in mid-January 2026, with construction walls in place since November 2025. The refreshed area now features blue fabric shade structures resembling tall umbrellas, replacing older metal elements. Additional improvements include fresh artificial turf across most of the play area, protective mulch around spring rider toys, and a bright “welcome” sign on the ground.
EPCOT has long carried a reputation as a more adult-oriented park, with attractions like the GEO-82 Bar & Lounge inside Spaceship Earth and festivals such as Food & Wine emphasizing specialty beverages and seminars.
