A man died after his car veered off the road through several gardens and into a house in Mellbystrand on Saturday evening. Police say the driver likely suffered a heart attack.
The alarm reached police at 23:28 on Saturday evening. The car had driven through several gardens before colliding with the house.
The driver was later pronounced dead at the hospital. A passenger was also taken to hospital but was awake and talking. No other people were injured in the accident.
Police spokesperson Fredrik Svedemyr said the starting point is that it involved a heart attack. The passenger is said to have tried to steer the car away.
Relatives have been notified and police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
