Dubai chamber of commerce concludes trade mission in Addis Ababa

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has concluded a trade mission to Ethiopia featuring bilateral business meetings between companies from Dubai and Ethiopia in Addis Ababa.

The mission included the Dubai–Ethiopia Business Connect forum held in cooperation with the UAE Embassy and Ethiopian business organizations. Twenty-one Dubai-based companies from sectors including automotive, construction, pharmaceuticals, and textiles took part in the meetings.

H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, said the chamber remains committed to strengthening economic ties between Dubai and Ethiopia. Ethiopia’s non-oil trade with Dubai reached AED 22.3 billion in 2025, up 236.6 percent from the prior year.

By the end of the first quarter of 2026, 1,676 Ethiopian companies were active members of Dubai Chamber of Commerce. Officials from both sides participated in the forum, including representatives from the Ethiopian Investment Commission and local chambers.
